Zoo Visit - 2007
On a glorious spring day at the end of August, WNC students, children and tutors met for a day trip to Wellington zoo. Emma Gennard and Ngaio Brown who graduated from the January 07 course also joined in.
Managing buggies and in many cases two small children was a challenge but was handled with energy and enthusiasm by the Nannies. It was great to see the level of support and care being given by individual nannies to each other and each others charges.
The students took advantage of the many learning opportunities that the zoo has to offer. The children were encouraged to read signs, communicate (with each other and the animals) and they certainly had much to communicate about. |
